The Bears Are Out

The bears are out strong now. My first siting of the year was Friday April 20th. I think this is the earliest we've seen bears out. We saw 5 on Friday, and another 2 since.

Previous siting counts were:
2004: 32 bears
2005: 72 bears
2006: 58 bears.

We'll see how many we get this year!

Update: June 1, 2007
I've now seen 34 bears this year, already passing in one month more than I saw in all of 2004.

Update: December 4, 2007
This year has pretty much finished, and I've seen 43 bears.
